The church had its eternal beginning with God. It was fully prophesied into being by our Lord Jesus Christ as in Matthew 16:18 -
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Jesus Himself also paid the price for its birth through His death, by the shedding of His blood at The Cross of Calvary for the remission of men’s sins.
The 'My church” that is Jesus Christ's Church, was fully established by the Holy Spirit. So we see the church began in God by God and its Foundation was laid on His Word.
The church began in God from the beginning; but it was not made manifest until the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ who had abolished death and brought life and immortality to life through the gospel.
The Church is of a divine origin not just a man-made desire to associate or give birth to a society.
The true church is not of human creation; it is Jesus's church and the Church is dependent on the Living God.

R/N 7 - Jesus "My Church"
Good evening Dr.
Sir, kindly help me understand this message. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus told Peter that "upon this rock I will build my church". That statement seems futuristic. If the church began in God from the beginning and manifested by the appearing of Jesus from birth, does it not contradict Jesus statement above.
When exactly did the church begin?
