Can Satan, truly and in truth, worship God? If he could (anymore), ... he would, he might!! He tries, but now - don’t be fooled: he just cannot;
God has given Only man, ...not animals, trees nor any other creation, the privilege, grace and a heart of & for true beauty and worship of God!
So Hear this: Matthew 2:7-8
“Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.”
Now, see his thoughts & 'so-called worship' via this Herod's action:- Matthew 2:16
“Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.”
Whooaaa!! What a worship!!
Satan's plan was, has always been, and is still, to 'kill' Jesus (The Word of God in us & for us ), destroy God's salvation plan for man and finally to kill and destroy the man; ... NEVER to worship Jesus!!!
But thanks be to God who never gives us over to the will of the enemy; Whose thoughts & plans for us are of peace, ... which is for Jesus (The Word) to be preserved, so that It will preserve us too; to give us Hope and a Future; to bring us to the expected end - which is His Salvation!
God sees the (every)? End from the Beginning! ...
God, seeing and knowing what the devil will do in vs 16, had in Matthew 2:12-14, set up His plan for men to carry out!! See:
- PLAN 1: “And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, the wise men departed into their own country another way.!! And when they were departed, ...:-
> So, These wise men obeyed/kept God's Word (instruction, counsel)
- PLAN 2: “behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: ...:-
>Joseph obeyed/ kept God's instruction/counsel.
And was there until the death of Herod: ... Another level of obedience
True worship of God is ALL ABOUT OBEDIENCE! God knows how to, is ever-ready, and always does " ... punish every disobedience, whenever our Obedience is full and fulfilled."
God leads us beside the still waters; and always causes us to triumph!
OBEDIENCE ... IS THE GREATEST PRESERVING & ENLARGING FACTOR !!
It preserved Jesus, Noah, Isaac, Daniel, Moses against Pharaoh's charge in Ex.1:22; the obedience of Ruth preserved a nation; what of the obedience of Abraham, of Jesus? And many others.
God who preserved Jesus can and will preserve you & all yours!
God is looking for men (not sparrows), ...for you, for me, to worship Him!
What we need and what God needs on earth is "Hearing Ears", "willing and obedient Hearts", and "Gracefulness for works"!
Cultivate yours today. You will eat the good in the land! (Isaiah 1:19)
